Serial Port Mapper 1.3.4 over network released!

Update: User interface improved. Deploy the program over network.

The new serial port software Serial Port Mapper version 1.3.4 allows to map any serial ports to any other ports. E.g. you install additional COM port expansion card to computer as COM7 serial port but your favorite software can work with COM1 port only. To resolve this problem you can use this serial port program. Configuration via command line interface is available as well. The program works as system service.

It has updated user interface now and combines local virtual COM port functionality and network one. Now the program is compatible with Windows Vista. Issue with disappearing swapped serial ports fixed.

Serial Port Mapper allows now to assign new names for serial ports. Now one can map any serial ports to any other port name. In other words, it allows to create aliases for com ports. (more…)
